Family get-togethers, work nights and Christmas parties. Communions, confirmations and christenings. Milestone birthdays — 21st, 40th, 50th, 80th, the lot. Hen and stag lunches. Retirement do's. Sports club celebrations, rugby teams, hill walkers, kids' parties — if there's a reason to eat together, we've probably hosted it.

For communions, confirmations, christenings, birthdays, retirement parties and most group occasions, we offer the Celebration Menu below — a set price so everyone knows what's coming and you can settle one bill at the end. Funerals have their own dedicated menus further down.

Decorations

Foil balloons only

We can't allow latex balloons on the premises because of guest allergies. Foil balloons are absolutely welcome — bring as many as you like, they photograph beautifully.

Cakes from outside

Candles yes, eating no

You're very welcome to bring your own birthday, communion or christening cake for the candles-and-photos moment. Due to HACCP food-safety rules, cake brought in from outside can't be served on the premises — take it home with you afterwards.

Private hire

The room is yours.

For bigger occasions — funerals, milestone birthdays, retirement parties, corporate dinners, work Christmas parties, sports club celebrations — we can host as a private function. Tell us what the room needs to look like and we'll set it up that way: AV for slideshows, the lot.

We don't charge a venue fee. You pay for the food and drink, and the room comes with it. Talk to us and we'll find an arrangement that works.

Funerals

Funeral gatherings.

Hosting people after a funeral is one of the most important things a venue can do well, and one of the hardest things to ask about at the worst possible time. So this section is intentionally short, plain and helpful.

We've hosted funeral lunches and post-service gatherings for Cork families — city and county wide — for decades. We have three dedicated menus for these occasions — two, three or four courses — designed around what families typically need: a tea-and-coffee reception, a proper carvery lunch with real choice, and an optional dessert.

Before you ask.

  • How many people can you cater for?

    Comfortably up to 120 seated. We've hosted everything from small family lunches of eight to full private functions north of a hundred — get in touch and we'll work out the layout that fits your group.

  • How far in advance should we book a group?

    24 hours' notice is enough for most group bookings. For larger parties (20+) or for funerals at short notice, phone +353 21 486 6211 and we'll work around what we need to — lines are answered 24/7.

  • Is there a venue hire fee?

    No. You pay for the food and drink, and the room comes with it. For smaller or midweek bookings we can talk about a minimum spend, but there's no separate room-hire charge.

  • Can we bring our own cake?

    You're very welcome to bring a cake for candles, photos and the song — but due to HACCP food-safety rules, cakes brought in from outside cannot be served or eaten on the premises. Take it home with you afterwards.

  • What about balloons?

    Foil balloons only, please. We don't allow latex balloons on the premises because of guest allergies — but foil balloons are absolutely welcome and look great in photos.

  • Can the Celebration Menu be customised?

    For larger bookings, yes — get in touch and we'll look at the tweaks that make sense. For smaller groups the standard Celebration Menu is the way to go.

  • Do you cater for communions, confirmations and christenings?

    Yes — our Celebration Menu (€34.50 adults, €17 children) is built exactly for these occasions. Three courses plus tea or coffee, set price so everyone knows what's coming, and one bill at the end.

  • Do you host funeral lunches?

    Yes. We have three dedicated funeral menus — two, three or four courses — designed around what families typically need: a tea-and-coffee reception, a proper six-choice carvery lunch, and an optional dessert. Phone +353 21 486 6211 when you're ready; lines are answered 24/7.

  • Do you accommodate allergies and dietary requirements?

    Yes. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on every menu, and we can accommodate most specific dietary needs with advance notice. Tell us when you book and we'll plan the kitchen around it.

  • Is there parking for a large group?

    Yes — 100+ free, on-site parking spaces, right at the door. Coaches and large vehicles welcome.

  • Can we have music, decorations and a slideshow?

    Yes to all three. AV is available for speeches and presentations, and you're welcome to bring decorations, flowers and your own music. Foil balloons only on the decorations (see above). If there's something specific you want set up, ask us — we'll usually find a way.

  • Are children fully catered for?

    Yes — separately. The Children's Celebration Menu is €17 and includes a starter, a main (carvery portion, popcorn chicken, kids' pizza, fish fingers, spaghetti bolognese or a mini burger), and an ice cream from our ice cream menu. Highchairs, baby-change facilities and colouring kits are provided as standard.
